MOUNTAINEERING & CLIMBING IN OBERGURGL

At Schönblick Gurgl the mountains are literally at your doormat. Go for a 'hut-hopping' tour or a guided glacier march at any time. Here, you are surrounded by a total of 21 three-thousand-meter peaks, dozens of glaciers and many alpine mountain huts, which makes mountaineering possibilities seem almost endless. However, also climbing tours are at the top of the to-do list in Obergurgl. After a short walk from your accomodation, you can reach the entrance to the family-friendly via ferrata Zirbenwald, which is suitable for children from the age of 10. In the climbing garden of the same name, you can choose from a total of 21 single routes to come to grips with the rock. The panoramic via ferrata Schwärzenkamm above the Langtalereckhütte, on the other hand, takes you even higher. Tip: The ascent to this high-alpine via ferrata can ideally be planned as a bike and hike tour, too.
